I have been a coffee professional for more than 10 years and my first long term and still lasting relationship has been with Luis Jaramillo and the entire team at B Specialty Coffee in Caldas Colombia.
About 3-4 months of the year I’m at origin in in the lovely high elevation city of Manizales which is close to our main farm as well as our milling facility in Chinchina.
The time I spend in Colombia and the relationship has provided me not only with invaluable knowledge but has given me an appreciation of the land, the workers and all the effort, hard work and expertise that goes into producing fine specialty coffees.
The coffees that we source and offer are as close to a direct relationship that you will encounter. We are the source, and although we may not be a fit for all roasters, we offer some of the best farm direct coffees available in all of Colombia.

I’m Marco Botero, Origins Coordinator and Sales Rep at BCB since 2018. I’ve been involved in the coffee world since my childhood growing up in Caldas, Colombia. Caldas is known as one of the richest areas for exotic coffees, surrounded by beautiful coffee crop mountains. This region was declared part of the Cultural Coffee Landscape of Colombia by UNESCO in the year 2000.
For many years I have been privileged to experience the process from picking to cup, enjoying fresh, smooth coffees brewed from the many different varieties of Colombian beans.
This has given me the knowledge and confidence to source unique and exotic coffees for a demanding market. We align with growers and workers providing support and better pay for their harvest and efforts while also introducing advanced growing and processing techniques.
